Mobile Pet Adoption. Clayton Girl Scout Troop 32379 is partnering with Contra Costa Animal Services for a pet adoption, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. March 22, downtown Clayton near the Historical Society and Clayton Community Church. The event is part of a Silver Award project for Katie Scullin, an eighth grader at Diablo View Middle School. “Today’s Media – Fact or Fiction?” The Pleasant Hill-Martinez branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) will host the League of Women Voters of Diablo Valley in a discussion of how to decipher, understand and manage media messages, 7 p.m. April 16, St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 1601 Mary Dr., Pleasant Hill. Easter Celebration. Clayton Cleans Up. Community groups can set up a table in the City Hall Courtyard to share their mission with volunteers who will be cleaning up the town, 8 a.m.-noon April 19, followed by a BBQ sponsored by Republic Services. Women’s History Month Seek and Find. Children can search the Children’s Area for images of books about women, every day in March. Find them all to receive a prize. Complete an additional challenge on the back of the game sheet to win a second prize. Pick up a game sheet at the front of the library or in the Children’s Area to get started.

Homework Help. For elementary school students, 3:45-5:45 p.m. Wednesdays. Some assistance also available for sixth and seven graders. To make an appointment, either call or stop by the library. Drop-ins welcome on a space available basis.

Lapsit Storytime. For children aged 0-3, 11-11:15 a.m. Thursdays. Children must attend with caregiver.

Toddler/Preschool Storytime. For children ages 2-5, 11:30 a.m.-noon Thursdays. Children must attend with caregiver. Stay and play toys available afterward.
