CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA (Oct. 23, 2022) — The final two weeks of the regular season are here and local teams are battling to improve their seeds for the North Coast Section playoffs or trying to improve their record in order to get into the Section playoffs.

Clayton Valley Charter won its fourth successive game last Friday 49-14 over visiting California-San Ramon while De La Salle stymied Monte Vista-Danville with five interceptions at Owen Owens Field 41-3 as they head for a showdown Nov. 4 in the final game of the regular season between two teams headed for the NCS Open Division playoffs.

Concord High maintained its place with the best record among local schools with a narrow 14-7 win over Alhambra in Martinez. College Park overwhelmed winless Ygnacio Valley to move closer to the Diablo Athletic League Valley Division championship.

Unbeaten Campolindo took the measure of Northgate 50-7 as the Broncos lost their third straight DAL Foothill game.
