Suspect shot and killed by Concord Police responding to knife attack
CONCORD, CA (Feb. 18, 2025) — The Concord Police Department is actively investigating an officer-involved shooting that took place early this morning on Natoma Drive.
At approximately 1:40 AM, officers responded to a 911 call reporting a domestic violence incident in which a suspect was attacking a family member with a knife. Upon arrival, officers found an adult male actively stabbing the victim.
In response to the immediate threat, officers opened fire, and the suspect was pronounced deceased at the scene. The victim sustained injuries but was transported to a local hospital and is expected to survive.
Police urge the public to avoid the area while investigators continue their work. Authorities have stated that they will provide updates via social media as the investigation progresses.
