So This Happened…Week of Oct. 24 through 30, 2022
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA (Oct. 30, 2022) — Clayton officials have begun the search for a new city manager, after Reina Schwartz said she would leave the post Feb. 3, 2023. “It has been an honor to serve as Clayton’s city manager,” she said, adding: I have determined I must now focus on my family obligations.”
Mental health concerns: Blame the pandemic – along with today’s high-tech environment – for the increase in people saying they have “any mental illness.” “While the Computer Age has made truly incredible things simply routine, it has also exacted a terrible price on the young,” writes Pioneer columnist Nathalie Montijo.
Grab the popcorn: There’s still time to get your scare on by watching “Halloween Ends,” featuring a top-notch opening scene, or one of the other movies that Pioneer columnist Jeff Mellinger recommends.
