CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA (May 27, 2024) — More than 250 people helped Ed and Stephanie Moresi celebrate the 30th anniversary of Ed’s Mudville Grill on May 3. Ed started his restaurant career down the block at Skipolini’s on May 3, 1974. Sticking with fate, he opened Mudville’s and Moresi’s Chophouse on subsequent May 3rds.

Customers stuck with him even through the pandemic, after son Domonic reached out on social media. “The residents of Clayton were very supportive during this time. Not only did it seem like everyone shut down their home kitchens to have takeout every night, but they were so extremely generous in tipping our employees.” Read the full story.

Community building: Pleasant Hill Mayor Matt Rinn encourages residents to get involved – from the Local Government Academy Program to serving on city commissions or even running for City Council. “Beyond that, there are many ways to help out and give back to the community.
