So This Happened…Week of April 10 through 16, 2023
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA (April 16, 2023) — Clayton Cleans Up is returning April 22 – just in time for Earth Day and in advance of the town’s Art & Wine Festival.
The event’s new sponsor, Councilmember Peter Cloven, is asking residents to select their own cleanup projects. “I want the citizens to be in charge of choosing the areas that make sense based on their observations of our town,” Cloven notes.
For other Earth Day events, see the Pioneer’s calendar of events.
Progress in Ladwig case: James William Grimsley will appear in Contra Costa County court on May 16 for a preliminary hearing in the murder of Terrie Ladwig, with a trial possible this fall. Ladwig was killed in 1994, and investigators were able to obtain new leads last summer.
