Pioneer High school football scores update, Sept. 11, 2022
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA (Sept. 11, 2022) — Concord High and Northgate each raised their non-league record to 3-0 with shutout victories in week 3 of the high school football season. The area’s two perennial powers, De La Salle and Clayton Valley Charter, also notched needed wins following recent setbacks.
The Minutemen continued their remarkable bounceback season with a 37-0 win over San Lorenzo, which was playing its first game. Concord only won two games combined in its past two seasons so each victory is especially sweet this fall, especially for its seniors. Northgate allowed a single touchdown in each of its first two games and this time didn’t allow any score in a 9-0 win at Fremont-Oakland.
Both Concord and Northgate face winless opponents this Friday in Week 4 action.
De La Salle avenged its historic loss last season to Saint Francis of Mountain View with a workman-like 35-3 win over the Lancers while Clayton Valley Charter finally got its first victory after two tough defeats 42-6 in Las Vegas over Canyon Springs.
