Northgate High grad Ben Midanek named chief marketing officer at national internet company
WALNUT CREEK, CA (Apr. 20, 2024) — Ben Midanek from Walnut Creek, CA., and graduate of Northgate High School, has been named chief marketing officer of Kinetic, which provides broadband internet services to residential and small business customers across 18 states in the U.S.
Midanek was formerly senior vice president of revenue strategy, analytics and pricing for Kinetic, a role he took on in September 2023. In that role, Midanek was responsible for shaping Kinetic’s customer acquisition strategy, priorities, and pricing, working across Marketing, Sales, and the broader organization.
Midanek joined Kinetic from Bain & Company, where he spent nine years as a management consultant, working with leading companies in communications, media, and other industries on a range of issues related to customer strategy, including subscriber acquisition, retention, and offering. As an entrepreneur, Midanek previously founded two mission-driven startups after starting his career at Goldman Sachs in New York. His academic credentials include an MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business and an undergraduate degree from Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA.
