Letter to the Editor — Response to Pioneer only printing liberal views claim

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA (Oct. 25, 2024) — Hello, My name is Sonia Ledo and I’m the Republican candidate for State Assembly District 15. I wanted to comment on the recent blast stating the Pioneer is “only printing liberal views.”

First off, this is the Bay Area. We live in a sea of blue. With that said, I’d like to personally thank the Pioneer for what I feel is an objective and unbiased recent publication of my State Assembly Race, in which the Pioneer was also the first to publish anything about the FPPC investigation about Anamarie Avila Farias (case 2024-00760). Not one other local editor published information about the FPPC investigation, keeping the voters in the dark during this election. Again, we live in a sea of blue.

In any case, I’m happy I chose to advertise with the Pioneer. As liberal as Tamara might be, she was truly a pleasure to meet and I enjoyed our healthy conversation and debate about a bunch of political issues.
