(CLAYTON, CA, May 9, 2022) – Whoever says nothing happens in a small town couldn’t have been downtown Clayton Saturday morning where something big was happening on every corner.

The Clayton Valley Garden Club was out early setting up for their semiannual plant sale in the Endeavor Hall parking lot. There were big plants, little plants, native plants, and tiny plants in teacups all waiting for the right gardener to take them home.

For those eager to see finished gardens, Nancy Dunn and Joan Bergum were set up in front of the Museum with tickets to the Historical Society’s annual Clayton Gardens Tour of five fabulous local gardens, all in full bloom. The Gardens Tour is a major fundraiser for the Clayton Museum. For more information and hours for the museum, go to claytonhistory.org.

Down the street, the courts were full at the Ipsen Bocce Park for the MDUSD Education Foundation tournament which netted over $22,000 for STEAM programs. To find out who won, go to mdedf.org.

In The Grove, music lovers were already staking out territory and claiming tables for the that night’s first concert of the season. To see the full concert schedule, go to PioneerPublishers.com and click on the Calendar tab.
