Holiday gifts galore at free Super Holiday Marketplace Dec. 5-6

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY—The 11th annual free Super Holiday Marketplace this year is Dec. 5 in Pleasant Hill and Dec. 6 in Concord. The two days are a wonderful opportunity for one-stop shopping to find everything on your holiday gift list.

Shoppers will find a potpourri of gift items from over 40 vendors in a socially distanced setup. A face covering or mask is required, and temperatures will be taken of everyone entering each day.

The indoor holiday Marketplace allows shoppers to get special, one-of-a-kind holiday gifts and stocking stuffers for family, friends and colleagues.

A Marketplace Gift Bag from Stanford Children’s Health is presented to the first 200 families each day with a number of free items such as bare snacks and GoGo SqueeZ packages included in each bag.

On Saturday, Dec. 5, the free Marketplace is at Pleasant Hill Community Center, 320 Civic Dr. off Taylor Blvd. from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. The Marketplace shifts on Sunday, Dec. 6, from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. to Clayton Valley Charter High School, 1101 Alberta Way in Concord, one block off Ygnacio Valley Rd.

Donations of much-needed food to the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano will be accepted each day.

Shoppers can register for their free family ticket in advance and receive a $2 Holiday Buck to be used for their first gift purchase.

There is free admission and free parking each day.
