We get the chickens of Brookside Ranch in Clayton help to recycle/reuse/repurpose the extra newsprint. They comment on every story with a peck and a scratch. This helps breaks the paper down as it decomposes.

Ranch owner Sandy Brooks shares fresh eggs (sometimes still warm with feathers on them) in exchange for extra papers for her girl’s coop.

These happy hens just might be the most well-read chickens in Clayton.
