Happy crowds cheer the return of Concord’s live 4th of July parade
CONCORD, CA (July 4, 2022) — For the first time since the pandemic, Concord’s 4th of July parade marched around Todos Santos Plaza. Most welcomed the mild weather which made watching the parade a relaxing treat.
Marching bands, equestrians, martial arts groups and vintage cars cruised the parade route to smiles and waving flags. Concord City Councilmembers, Assemblymember Tim Grayson, and District 1 BART Director Debora Allen joined the parade.
Marathon sponsored the event with the theme of “Welcome Back Concord.” Others sponsors included Mt. Diablo Resource Recovery, the Hop Grenade, Pacific Credit Union and AssetMark.
After the parade, fireworks display follows the parade starting at 9 .p.m. Gates to Mt. Diablo High School open up at 6 p.m. for people wishing to claim a good space early.
