CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA (June 30, 2022) — Recognizing the wide-application of White Pony Express’ model of shared abundance, Women Forward International (WFI) is sponsoring a visit of the Mexican Association of Vegan Entrepreneurs (EVM), from Monterrey, Mexico.

The group will see first-hand the food distribution program of White Pony Express (WPE). WPE serves residents across Contra Costa County and operates an active food rescue program.

The event takes place on July 7 at RR Ministries, in Antioch, from 3-5 p.m. Organizers expect about 150 people to attend. WPE will pick up and deliver fresh, nutritious salad meals provided by food donor partner, sweetgreen. The restaurant recently opened in downtown Walnut Creek. WPE will also distribute four pallets of high quality, brand new, seasonal women’s clothing.

In coming months, EVM will adopt aspects of WPE’s food rescue model in Mexico to reduce hunger and poverty. This visit will provide an opportunity to train EVM representatives on the techniques tested by WPE.
