Get charged up — Contra Costa residents eligible for e-bike rebates

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA (Oct. 15, 2023) — The research is in, and it confirms that e-bikes are game changers. Without sweat or sore muscles, e-bikes let you zoom up hills and make longer trips without running out of steam. You’ll find no easier or more enjoyable way to reduce your carbon footprint than exchanging car trips for e-bike rides.

Contra Costa residents are eligible for e-bike rebates of $150, $300, or $500, depending on location and income. If you purchase an e-bike, you should apply for the rebate within six months.

The amount of your rebate depends on your eligibility.  The base 511 Contra Costa e-bike rebate brings $150 for eligible applicants.

If you are income qualified, your rebate increases to $300.  If you are income qualified AND live in Antioch, Bay Point, Concord, Pittsburg, Richmond, or San Pablo you may be eligible for the $500 rebate from Charge Up Contra Costa.  Not sure?  Apply through 511 Contra Costa and they will guide you to the largest rebate option.
