Driver killed in Pleasant Hill vehicle collision

PLEASANT HILL, CA (Jan. 27, 2025) — The Pleasant Hill Police Department is investigating a fatal traffic collision at the intersection of Taylor Blvd and Grayson Rd. Traffic in the area was impacted during the investigation.

On Monday, January 27, at about 9:42 a.m., PHPD received several calls of a major injury collision.  One of the involved vehicles overturned and came to rest on its roof. Officers arrived and found that a black Kia sedan and a grey Kia minivan had collided in the intersection. The driver of the grey minivan sustained major injuries and passed away at a local hospital. The driver of the black sedan suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation.

The identity of the deceased driver is being withheld pending notification to their family.
