Downtown Pleasant Hill announces free Chalk Festival Sept. 29

PLEASANT HILL, CA (Sept. 17, 2024) — Downtown Pleasant Hill invites the community to  its free annual event, the Chalk Festival at the Plaza. Join the fun on Sunday, September 29, from noon to 3:00 pm at Crescent Plaza adjacent to Jack’s Restaurant. This festive occasion promises fun for all ages. It includes activities that include a Kids Chalk Zone, balloon artists, and face painters.

The Chalk Festival has become a hallmark of community spirit, drawing families and art enthusiasts alike to enjoy an afternoon of artistic expression amidst the lively backdrop of Downtown Pleasant Hill.

With the inspiration of on-site, professional artists, who will be creating their own chalk art, children are encouraged to unleash their creativity in the Kids Chalk Zone. There, the pavement transforms into a canvas of vibrant colors. Meanwhile, balloon artists and face painters will entertain attendees with their skillful craft, ensuring that every participant leaves with a memorable experience.
