MARTINEZ, CA (Mar. 5, 2025) — The Contra Costa County Historical Society (CCCHS) received a $20,000 donation from the California Foundation for Stronger Communities (CFSC) to continue its mission to preserve, protect, and provide public access to the records and heritage of our county.

The CCCHS is an independent non-profit that serves as the steward of the county’s archives and the administrator of the County History Center.

“Thanks to this generous donation, CCCHS can continue to archive the precious collections that are so important to our county’s history,” said executive director LeighAnn Davis.

CFSC is a non-profit public benefit corporation that acts as the board of directors for the California Municipal Finance Authority (CMFA). Its goal is to “strengthen local communities by assisting with the financing of economic development and charitable activities throughout the state of California.”
