Correction to the Pioneer June 17 election story

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA (June 17, 2022) — The front page story in the print version of the June 17 Pioneer contains an error. Kristin Connolly was incorrectly reported as the successful incumbent for the Clerk/Recorder office. There was no incumbent on the ballot for this race. Kristin Connolly, Vicki Gordon, Devin Murphy and Nick Spinner were all candidates.

As of press time, Connolly led the pack with 33.97%. Behind her were Gordon with 23.48%, Murphy with 22.12% and Spinner with 20.42%.  We apologize to the candidates and to our readers for the error.
