Contra Costa shows its creative and creepy Halloween spirit

“During the day, I don’t believe in ghosts. At night, I’m a little more open-minded.” —Unknown.

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA (Oct. 31, 2021) — The nights have become damp and chilly. Leaves pile up and swirl around. It’s Halloween.

While trick or treating during a pandemic may still be too frightening for some, many of us have still gotten into the Halloween spirit with costumes and home decorations.

The Pioneer presents a creepy collection of photos from all around Concord, Clayton and the surrounding area that shows the creativity of our community as we celebrate this spooky season.

Happy Halloween from the Pioneer newspaper
