Contra Costa fire fighters halt forward progress of brush fire near Highway 4

CONCORD, CA (May 20, 2022) — Around noon today, Contra Costa County Fire Protection District received a call about a brush fire that in a commercial area of Concord.

The fire erupted just north of Highway 4, in the 1500 block of Willow Pass Court. Some businesses in the area had to evacuate.

Con Fire has since reported that they stopped the forward progress of the fire around 1 p.m.

The Willow Pass Fire was an estimated 30 acres and 100 percent contained by about 1:45 p.m., according to their statement. They said the fire did not damage any commercial buildings.
