Concord's dog parks closing for annual maintenance -

CONCORD, CA (Feb. 13, 2025) — City dog parks are being renovated to better serve our pets. Newhall Dog Park will be closed for renovations February 24 to March 17 and Baldwin Dog Park will be closed from March 17 to April 21.

Renovations will include aeration, re-seeding, fertilizing, adding organic mulch, and allowing time for the natural turf grass to grow and fill in the worn areas. Gopher abatement will also be performed.

City dog parks are some of Concord’s most popular amenities for local canines and their owners. Consistent turf renovations will keep the facilities attractive and safe. Signs at the two facilities will ensure the community is aware of the planned maintenance. The City will also update its “Rain Information” hotline at 925-671-3479 in the event of any future changes.
