Concord to improve accessibility with new ADA curb ramps
The City of Concord will begin a new project to install ADA curb ramps in February 2021.

CONCORD, CA—The City Council recently awarded a construction contract for a project that will add 26 ADA curb ramps. Also known as handicap ramps, the new construction will take place in locations around Concord where there currently are no ramps. Check the new locations here. The project includes minimal traffic striping and paving improvements as well.

The construction will begin in early February and should finish in March, weather permitting.

As part of an annual City program, the project factors resident requests into determining which locations get addressed each year. These projects help Concord to fulfill its commitment to removing accessibility barriers within City right-of-way areas.
