Concord Historical Society honors jazz great Brubeck at May fundraiser
CONCORD, CA (Apr. 23, 2022) — The Concord Historical Society is jazzing it up for its May 27 fundraiser, where it will dedicate the Dave Brubeck Stage in the Betty Barnes Hall.
A Concord native, Brubeck was a world-renowned jazz musician and composer. His sons, Chris and Dan Brubeck, will make a special appearance at the dedication to perform a mix of their original music as well as their father’s most popular hits.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with drinks and hors d’oeuvres at the Historical Society’s Event Center, 1928 Clayton Road, Concord. Sidegate Brewery of Concord will be pouring a craft beer brewed just for this event.
An onstage interview with Chris Brubeck and special guest Harold Jones begins at 6:30 p.m., followed by the performance at 7 p.m.
Tickets are $100-$150 for the event, which is the Historical Society’s primary fundraiser of the year.
