Concord churches and Monument Crisis distribute more food to the needy this week

Monument Crisis Center in Concord continues to distribute food to the needy this week. The organization has already handed out thousands of pounds of emergency food to help those hurt by the coronavirus pandemic. This week, food will be available for pickup:

MCC needs donations of all types of nonperishable food to keep up with the demand. Staff will be on hand during the same time to accept donations of perishable and non-perishable food. To donate without leaving home, text MCC to 41-444.

Concord Churches lend a hand

Several area churches have food donations to distribute on a first come, first served basis.

The Catholic Churches of Concord will be distributing food every other week on a first come, first served basis because each church only has 250 boxes of food to distribute. Recipients will receive a box containing canned and dry goods. This is a drive-up service to limit exposure to COVID-19 for volunteers and recipients. Volunteers will put the box of food in your trunk.
