Concord cancels downtown summer concerts
The city of Concord announced Monday that it has canceled its popular summer concert series, Music & Market and Tuesday Night Blues.
After closely monitoring local health orders and national guidelines designed to slow the spread of the coronavirus, the city determined that they couldn’t be held this year. The concerts typically draw thousands of people to Todos Santos Plaza.
“With the health and safety of our community, musicians, volunteers and staff as our top priority, we plan to provide alternative virtual entertainment throughout the summer,” said Mayor Tim McGallian. “And we’ll be back in 2021 with a great lineup.”
