Clayton Valley Charter offering weekly free COVID-19 Testing
CONCORD, CA—Clayton Valley Charter High School in coordination with Concord Parks & Recreation department offers free COVID-19 testing at Centre Concord every Wednesday through the end of May.
The free testing occurs Wednesdays from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. through May 26 at Centre Concord, 5298 Clayton Rd. next to Clayton Valley Bowl. CVCHS has partnered with PMH Laboratory Inc. and Agile Force, Inc. to provide this free service.
They offer both viral and antibody COVID-19 Testing. The Federal CARES Act covers and pays for the COVID-19 testing. The vendor will bill your insurance carrier (i.e., Anthem, Blue Shield, Kaiser, HealthNet), so they ask that you bring a copy of your insurance card with you. You can also get tested for free even without insurance. Please see the COVID-19 Fact Sheet for more information on COVID-19.
Process for COVID-19 testing at Centre Concord
You must provide your health insurance information for billing purposes. They encourage participants to visit their health plan’s website for the latest COVID-19 information and protocols and to make sure that this is an approved COVID-19 testing site recommended by your health plan provider should you decide to utilize this testing facility.
Sign-Up:
You must sign-up via the online scheduler to make an appointment. The online scheduler will send reminders to each participant by email and text message 24 hours and 2 hours prior to the scheduled appointment. Please direct scheduling inquiries to Rob McConnell rob.mcconnell@archstaffing.us or Brad Miedema brad.miedema@archstaffing.us.
Testing Day:
On the day of the clinic, a nurse will ask for your insurance information and completed paperwork. Next they will collect a nasal swab sample for the RT-PCR test and a small blood sample for the antibody test. You do not need to have both tests, but both will be available.
IT IS CRITICAL YOU BRING THE FOLLOWING FORMS ALREADY FILLED OUT ON TEST DAY (Otherwise testing may be delayed)
- Copy of the front and back of your insurance card OR fill out the Uninsured Patient Form.
- Completed COVID-19 Patient Test Request Form.
- Completed Venous Consent Form (if you are requesting antibody testing).
After Testing
The sample(s) will go to the laboratory to process and they will send results to our local health department; individual participants will be able to access results through the PMH Laboratory website after 3 business days from the date of the testing. They require no further actions if the results are negative. If the results are positive, a representative from the lab will contact you and a consultation can be scheduled with a lab scientist or doctor to review the results and next steps.
