Clayton community comes together for jovial National Night Out

Clayton, CA (August 2, 2023) – Clayton’s community spirit brought residents together to celebrate National Night Out on Tuesday.

The annual event aims at fostering positive relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve. Clayton’s event saw residents gathering for an evening of fun activities, delicious BBQ, and neighborly conversations.

Kids got the chance to check out the recently upgraded playground at Clayton Community Park.

The city joined thousands of communities across the country for the event that began in 1984 on the east coast. It began simply with neighbors turning on their porch lights and sitting in front of their homes. The event has become a tradition for the first Tuesday of August.
