CLAYTON, CA (Oct. 13, 2021) — Chick Boss, a contemporary art jewelry company, has opened an outlet gallery downtown.

The company has been crafting handmade wearable art for museum stores, galleries and online customers since 2010. The new Sound Collection, made with recycled record albums, won the 2021 Buyer’s Choice Award from the Museum Store Association.

Pat Pannell, now a Clayton resident, founded the company for the purpose of breaking the cycle of poverty in northern Guatemala through training and jobs.

In addition, she donates 5 percent of gross sales to U.S. charities focused on educational and human services programs. The Mt. Diablo Unified School District Foundation will receive donations from the new store.

Prices in the Clayton gallery are 10 percent to 50 percent lower than regular retail. The store will be open 3-6 p.m. Tuesday-Friday and 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday.

Chick Boss is at 1030 Diablo St., Clayton. For more information, visit chickboss.com.
