Bay Area SpringFest returns for 3rd year in Downtown Concord May 4

CONCORD, CA (Apr. 30, 2024) — The Bay Area is encouraged to celebrate spring at the third annual free Bay Area SpringFest this Saturday, May 4, in the heart of downtown at historic Todos Santos Plaza featuring non-stop music, eclectic food court, kid’s activities, over 100 arts and crafts and other exhibitors plus a beer and wine garden benefiting Sustainable Contra Costa.

SpringFest is open from 12 noon to 7 p.m. on May 4 with free admission and free parking.

The event presented by Bay Area Festivals debuted to a spectacular response the past two years with thousands of attendees and is back even larger, filling the tree-lined plaza in Contra Costa County’s largest city.

Over 100 vendors will be on hand offering myriad shopping opportunities for a wide variety of products and services as well as exhibitors providing information on their programs.

Food and drink

There are a variety of offerings in the eclectic food court on the Salvio Street side of Todos Santos Plaza as well as many restaurants and beer pubs in the immediate downtown area.

The SpringFest Beer & Wine Garden features beer from popular Concord breweries Side Gate and Epidemic Ales plus wine from Contra Costa’s Viano Vineyards. Proceeds from the Beer & Wine Garden benefit Sustainable Contra Costa.

Live music on the Todos Santos stage begins at noon:

  • 12:00-1:00 p.m. The Dive Bombers, the Bay Area’s Blues Bombers, take to the Todos Santos Plaza stage to start the day’s entertainment.
  • 1:45-3:15 The Great Space Coaster is the East Bay’s favorite cover band throwing it back to the hits of the 70s, 80s and 90s.
  • 4:00-6:30 East Bay Grooveline is an energetic, groovy band that will disco your way to dance and satisfy your soul.

Kid’s activities include free balloon animals and hats plus hands-on activities. COPA Soccer Training Center has a soccer activity all day at SpringFest.

Attendees can bring a blanket or lawn chairs to enjoy the spring day in the tree-lined park. Pets on a leash can come along too.

The first 400 attendees will receive a SpringFest Goody Bag. Each pre-registered attendee gets a free raffle ticket for numerous SpringFest-themed prizes.

Donation of food to the Monument Crisis Center will earn the donor another raffle ticket for each can donated.

Bay Area SpringFest takes place in Todos Santos Plaza in Downtown Concord at 2175 Willow Pass Rd. The outdoor festival is free to the public. You’ll find two free city parking garages on the block and lots of free on-street parking.
