PLEASANT HILL, CA (Mar. 31, 2024) — The weather gods again rained down sunshine for Pleasant Hill Park and Rec’s annual egg hunt egg-travaganza at Pleasant Hill Park on March 30 with the support of the Pleasant Hill Lions Club that was expected to draw upwards 800 kids and their parents.

Organized in different blocks of time, all ages regardless of ability were ensured of coming away with goody bags, smiles and plastic eggs. While some of the youngest among attendees like two-year old Brooklyn Blake, with her father, John, of nearby Walnut Creek, had the practice down, as many others wandered about leaving the search for eggs to their parents.

This set the stage for the release of the kraken by the far more seasoned hunters, aged 4 to 10, to display their speed and agility, honed during many a past spring mad dash, for a particular prized guerdon – the egg containing the golden ticket to win a special prize basket.
