Concord Airport Appliance’s microwave donation helps seniors

Meals on Wheels Diablo Region in Walnut Creek had 5 clients who needed microwaves to heat frozen meals. MOW asked Airport Home Appliance to donate them. Not only did they say yes, but store manager Ernest delivered them to the MOW office the next day. Because of their generosity, five MOW clients will be able to have hot meals, and they are all thrilled.

If you visit Airport Home Appliance’s website there is a notice to the public that says “We are open to serve public need. During the ongoing public health emergency, our appliance stores will remain open for business to meet the essential needs of our local communities.” This business made good on their promise and guaranteed that five homebound seniors will not go hungry. That’s what we call serving the community.
