Armed robbery suspect fatally shot by store employee in Concord

CONCORD, CA (Feb. 22, 2025) — The Concord Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred during an armed robbery at a convenience store on 3200 Willow Pass Road late last night.

At approximately 11:30 PM, an armed suspect entered the store wielding a shotgun and attempted to force an employee to open the store’s safe. A second store employee, witnessing the robbery, intervened and fired their own weapon, striking the suspect.

The suspect succumbed to their injuries at the scene. Their identity is being withheld pending notification of family.
