CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA (Feb. 2, 2025) — Pleasant Hill police are continuing the investigation of a fatal traffic accident at the intersection of Taylor Boulevard and Grayson Road on Jan. 27. Anyone with information is asked to contact the department.

More review of Coast Guard project: After the developers offered a new vision for the 59-acre site – without time for analysis by city staff – the Concord City Council continued the discussion to March 4. “I’m disappointed that staff and the council did not have the new information to evaluate,” said Mayor Carlyn Obringer. “The presentation by the applicant honestly left me with more questions than answers.”

At the meeting this Tuesday, Feb. 4, the Concord council intends to review the Tenant Protection Program’s components regarding single-family residents and condos as well as the allowable annual rent increase cap.
