Concord Rent Registry Portal now live, owners must register by Jan. 19

CONCORD, CA (Nov. 25, 2024) — Do you own a rental unit in Concord that is a single-family residence, a condominium unit, a mobile home unit, or a unit in a multi-family residential complex? If so, the City of Concord requires you to register your rental unit(s) by January 19, 2025.

The City has mailed registration letters with log-in information and instructions to owners of residential rental properties. Letters are expected to hit mailboxes before Nov. 30.

The City updated its Rent Registry Program as part of the Residential Tenant Protection Program that the City Council adopted in April 2024.

Owners of residential rental properties must register their units so that the City has an ability to track local tenancy and rent information, and maintain a record of which properties are being rented, the monthly rental rates being charged, the length of the tenancies, and reasons for evictions. The annual registry fee of $29-$47 per unit allows the City to administer the program.

Property owners who need assistance with completing the forms or who have any questions may contact the City’s Housing staff for assistance.

Please visit the Rent Program web page to learn more and download our Rent Registry flyer for details.
