CLAYTON, CA (Oct. 6, 2024) — Clayton’s Oktoberfest celebration went on this weekend amid a hot spell in the Bay Area. But high temperature didn’t deter the crowds that showed up to enjoy the traditional fall festivities.

Visitors enjoyed German beer and food, plus dancing to live music in an authentic Munich biergarten. Main Street transformed into a lively marketplace with arts and craft vendors selling everything from hot sauces to jewelry to Oktoberfest gear. Kids of all ages got the chance to enjoy amusement rides, game booths and street performers.

The city’s popular Oktoberfest has taken advantage of the picturesque setting downtown since 2004. Set under beautiful Mt. Diablo, it evokes a feeling of Bavaria.

Clayton’s Oktoberfest is presented by the Clayton Community and Business Association (CBCA). Funds raised by the event go into community programs including education and scholarships.
