Clayton Library will close for HVAC replacement starting Aug. 10

CLAYTON, CA (August 9, 2024) — The Clayton Library is scheduled to be closed starting on Saturday, August 10 through Tuesday, August 13 to get a new HVAC system.

During preliminary work earlier this week, the thermostat malfunctioned and may not get repaired before the replacement project begins. This means that the library may not be able to open on Thursday or Friday this week due to high indoor temperatures that are unsafe for staff and patrons.

Please call the branch or check the website before visiting the library this week.

The Library will reopen on Wednesday, August 14 at 10 a.m.

Any holds currently on the shelf will remain so until the library reopens and hold dates will be extended.
