CONCORD, CA (April 22, 2023) — On Friday, April 21, at approximately 12:45 p.m., Concord Police Department officers responded to the 2100 block of Colfax St regarding a suspicious circumstance.
A neighbor stated that they heard screaming and loud bangs from a nearby residence on Colfax St. Officers arrived and made a phone call into the residence to contact the occupants but could not reach anyone.
While attempting to conduct a welfare check on the residence’s occupants, officers discovered that a male occupant of the house had felony warrants for his arrest. Officers got everyone out of the residence but discovered that the wanted subject had already fled the area. One of the occupants sustained a minor injury due to a physical assault. CPD continue to investigate this incident.
A police statement reassured the community that there are no threats to the public. They ask that anyone with additional information regarding this incident call Concord Police Department Special Victim’s Unit at (925)-671-5959.
