CONCORD, CA (April 6, 2023) — A newly installed Flock camera alerted a Concord PD Investigator to a felony vehicle in Concord on Tuesday.

Records linked the vehicle to a CPD investigation for organized retail theft of thousands of dollars in merchandise from local stores.

The license-plate reader helped CPD Officers locate and arrest both of the suspects. Police suspect the pair committed a multitude of crimes all over the Bay Area.

Organized retail theft causes the loss of hundreds of thousands of dollars each year from our local businesses. This case shows how technology can assist police in the apprehension of criminals.

The Concord Police Dept. expressed their thanks to the Park N Shop on Willow Pass Road for supporting new resources that keep our community safer.
