CONCORD, CA (Jan. 28, 2023) — They said no to Seeno.

This morning the Concord City Council voted to reject Concord First Partner’s proposed term sheet for the development of the Concord Naval Weapons Station. Local developer Albert Seeno III holds a 45% interest in CFP.

Mayor Laura Hoffmeister was the deciding vote in the 3-2 decision. Councilmemembers Edi Birsan and Dominic Aliano voted to continue with the partnership. Laura Nakamura, Carlyn Obringer and Hoffmeister voted to reject. This is the second time the Council is faced with starting over. In 2021, Lennar Five Point walked away from the project after failing to reach a project labor agreement with the unions.
