Diablo View Orchid Society raises more than $3,000 at August auction

CONCORD, CA (August 23, 2022) — The Diablo View Orchid Society held its 2022 Auction on Saturday, August 13.

The event at the Contra Costa Water District parking lot raised more than $3,000. These funds will benefit the organization’s activities and guest speakers.

The flower auction attracted 25 bidders who actively bid on 100 lots comprised of orchids donated by the membership. One Venus Flytrap also was among the auction offerings.

Carol Klonowski and Kathy Barrett served as the day’s guest auctioneers supplying useful anecdotes and growing info for the plants in each lot.
