CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA (June 9, 2022) — A ranking of California cities with the most expensive houses includes one in Contra Costa County. Eleven other cities in the SF Bay Area made the list as well. Stacker compiled a list of cities with the most expensive homes in California using data from Zillow. They ranked cities by the Zillow Home Values Index for all homes as of April 2022. The most expensive city on the list has a typical home value of $8,116,990 which is 927% higher than the state average of $790,475.
