CLAYTON, CA (Apr. 25, 2022) — After a two-year pandemic break, the 25th Annual Clayton Business and Community Association Art and Wine Festival was back last weekend bigger than ever.

By mid-day Saturday, Main St. was shoulder to shoulder with folks happy to be on the other side of a Zoom screen, ready for some sunshine, good wine and cold beer.

Event chair Sandy Johnson was euphoric on Monday morning.  “I would say it was a spectacular event.” Early estimates have this year’s event nearly 40% bigger than 2019.

The event is one of three major fundraisers produced by CBCA each year.  It is entirely run by more than 250 volunteers including support from an army of Clayton Valley High School students.

“Without them, there is no event,” Johnson said. “They really came through for us.” The kids do everything from running for supplies to scooping pooch poop.

All funds raised by CBCA events support scholarships, local charities, and city procbjects. The next CBCA event is a two-day BBQ Cook Off July 9-10 followed by the annual Oktoberfest Oct. 1-2.
