Concord Chamber provides online training
CONCORD, CA—The Concord Chamber of Commerce has partnered with Impact Compliance Training to offer online training modules for local businesses.
With the pandemic, online training makes it easier for employees and employers to ensure they are up to date with state-mandated training, as well as employee development.
The chamber strives to be the hub for all business resources, especially for small businesses. We recognize that some small businesses may not have a human resources department to oversee mandated training, and we want those businesses to know the chamber is there to help be that resource center.
The first thing we offered was anti-harassment training. As of 2018, Senate Bill 1343 requires businesses and organizations with five or more employees to train non-supervisory employees on sexual harassment every two years. Under state Assembly Bill 1825, supervisors must complete this training as well.
The chamber provides training in a variety of areas. Current hot topics include cybersecurity for employees, diversity and guarding against COVID-19.
The training is self-paced and gives employees control over their professional development. After each course, the employee will receive a certificate of completion to provide to supervisors and keep for personal records.
Investing in employees and professional development ensures employees have the most recent information, empowering them to be better employees.
