El Pollo Loco opens second Concord location on Monument
A mariachi band serenaded the hungry crowd gathered to celebrate the grand opening and ribbon cutting for El Pollo Loco on Monument Friday. The restaurant is known for its fire-grilled chicken and traditional Mexican family dinners.
The community event featured free food and mariachi music (No one can sit still to mariachis, even the dead).
Chamber of Commerce president Marilyn Fowler helped owner Jesse Villafana cut the ribbon.
The new restaurant is at 1551 Monument Blvd. This is the second El Pollo Loco in Concord and is their 15th location. The other one is on Clayton Road.
