D&H Automotive and Rotary Club partner to give car to Winter Nights Shelter family
A new car may not change the world, however, it changes the world for one of the families at Contra Costa County’s Winter Nights Family Shelter program. With reliable transport, they can get children to school and themselves to work. It gives them the ability to hold down a steady job and income allowing them to move back into a permanent home.
Recently, D&H Automotive LLC in Concord and the Rotary Club—Clayton Valley Concord Sunrise got together to donate a 2010 Chevy Equinox to a grateful family in the Winter Nights shelter.
Winter Nights Family Shelter in Contra Costa helps families back onto a path of sustainable living and stable housing. The shelter provides homeless families a clean, safe and warm place to sleep as well as a daytime services center. Faith congregations provide space, meals and volunteers. Professional staff supervise the shelter at all times. For more information go to interfaithccc.org/winter-nights.
