Friends and family gather in Clayton to find light in darkness
Last Sunday, around a hundred people gathered at the Grove Park in Clayton, CA, to raise awareness for suicide prevention.
Members of the “Finding Light in Darkness” walk put photos of lost loved ones on light poles in the park and walked 1.5 miles from The Grove to Marsh Creek and back carrying flashlights. Some members spoke at the gazebo about their experiences.
The annual walk was organized 3 years ago by Clayton resident Amy Callahan to honor her son Wyatt, who committed suicide. Amy, husband Dylan and daughter Camylle were joined by many of Wyatt’s friends from school. It has been 5 years since he took his life.
