Remembering the fallen

For many, Memorial Day marks the beginning of summer with pool parties, barbeques and big mall sales. But for others, it’s a day to take seriously and to honor the men and women who lost their lives in service to the country.

At the 2019 Clayton Memorial Day ceremony, Lt. Col. Mike Hudson was the featured speaker. His speech emphasized sacrifice and the gift of valor. Click here to see photos from the 2019 ceremony.

On this special day, the Pioneer looks back at some photos from the past few years in remembrance of those who were lost and how we honored them.
