9 shoplifters arrested in Concord Police anti-theft operation
CONCORD, CA (August 4, 2024) — Recently, the Concord Police Department’s Financial Crimes Unit conducted a “BLITZ operation” in the Diamond Blvd. corridor.
With the assistance of the Special Enforcement Team and the Traffic Unit, they arrested a total of 9 suspects for various thefts from Old Navy, ULTA and Home Depot.
Officers arrested:
- LaShanda Jackson-Sarratt, Oakland – Shoplifting burglary & contributing to the delinquency of a minor
- Terrance Brown, Concord – Shoplifting Burglary
- Akina Macklin, San Pablo – Shoplifting Burglary
- Dashiahnae Johnson, Sacramento – Shoplifting Burglary
- Ivan Cuellar-Alvarez, San Jose – Shoplifting Burglary
- Theresa Johnson, Santa Barbara County – Shoplifting
- Joel Cadena, Port Costa – Shoplifting Burglary
- Harold McCoy, Pittsburg – Shoplifting Burglary
A juvenile was also arrested and released to their parent.
The cases will be forwarded to the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office for filing considerations. The Financial Crimes Unit will be conducting multiple operations in the future to curtail retail theft in our City.
