7 arrested in Concord Police anti-shoplifting operation

CONCORD, CA (July 11, 2024) — Concord’s Financial Crimes Unit teamed up with the Traffic Unit and Patrol Officers to conduct an anti-shoplifting operation this week. In 5 hours, CPD detectives arrested 7 subjects who were stealing from Ulta Beauty at The Willows shopping center.

Arrested were:

Veronica Fiore, 28 of Walnut Creek. Arrested for shoplifting burglary.

Karanbir Doel, 31, out of Concord & Placer County. Arrested for grand theft and an outstanding felony warrant also for theft out of Placer County.

Anthony Russell, 25, of Antioch. Arrested for shoplifting burglary, conspiracy and possession of stolen property.

Tatiyana Slater, 24, of Antioch. Arrested for shoplifting burglary, conspiracy and possession of stolen property.

Ranelle Tabitha Rubino, 38, Concord. Arrested for shoplifting burglary and violation of probation (probation for theft).

Fredrick Long, 65, transient of Concord. Arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

A 16 year old juvenile (name withheld) was arrested for shoplifting burglary.

Police estimate the total recovered loss around $6,591.

Officers arrested all the suspects, then booked and processed them at the Concord City Jail. Investigators will refer the cases to the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
